On your mom's school photos
Our focus is always to help the child quickly feel comfortable so we can capture them as they are RIGHT NOW, from smiles to giggles to thoughtful expressions! While we aim to get a variety of expressions for each child, we never force them to smile. Authenticity is our focus!
Years down the road, we want families to have beautiful photos to look back and remember every stage, every expression as their children grow!
I Provide:
The school only needs to:
- Guidance to share with families prior to picture day.
- Lighting equipment so each portrait is consistent.
- Online galleries for each child’s family (which can be password protected on request) to easily view and choose photos.
- Printed options that include a variety of prints and products.
- A digital download option so families can choose where and what to print.
- Quick turnaround (usually 2 weeks or less)
- Have a space where we can photograph the kids away from distractions so they can feel comfortable.
- Provide student info, class rosters, etc.
- Provide a contact email for each child's parent/guardian.
There is NO COST to the school!

What is the cost to the school?
There is no cost to the school! Additionally, parents only pay for the photos they want and can choose from a range of print sizes, packages and digital files.
What is the cost to parents?
There is no up-font cost to parents. offer prints, canvases and digital files to parents at a cost that is comparative to traditional school photography. Please see my pricing sheet for detailed costs.
How long do photos take?
The amount of time depends on the number of students. I spend 2-3 minutes with each child which allows me to capture multiple expressions.
What is the school responsible for?
I take care of all the logistics so it's mostly covered!
Once we book a date for school photos, I will send an email to forward to parents. Parents can reach out to me directly with any questions or concerns leading up to and after photo day.
Once I receive the class rosters, I will work with you to put together a schedule for photo day. I often like to come in a few days before and select a spot to set up ahead of time...so no time is wasted on the day.
On photo day, I will bring an assistant to help me, if needed, or the school can provide some parent volunteers to assist with the children. I will also bring all of the necessary equipment. That's pretty much it!
How do parents get their photos?
Within a week of photo day, I will send parents an email with a link to access an online gallery. From that gallery, parents may order prints, canvases or directly download purchased digital files.
All prints and products are shipped directly to the family's home! No more handing out packets or dealing with ruined photos that were stuffed in a backpack.
Galleries can be password protected if the parents indicate when they fill out the pre-registration form.
When do you offer school portraits?
Fine Art Portrait Sessions can be scheduled any time of the year. Most schools choose to offer these in the Spring or Fall.
They can be your exclusive school photos or a supplement to your existing school photography.
