Our first step is to start to get to know you and what you’re looking for from you session.
This helps me best support you throughout the process.
As I learn what’s important to you during the call, we can better plan for your design consultation.
Step 1: The Phone Call
This design consultation takes place in your home, a local coffee shop or even on Zoom so I can sit down and really get to know you!
I will show you product samples and see what speaks to you. I'll give you my style guide and chat about clothing options (and location options for family sessions) so that what you wear and where we take your portraits will feel like YOU.
When your session day arrives, we’ll have a plan so everything goes smoothly – which means LESS stress for you.
Step 2: Design Consultation
Everyone knows photo day can be stressful!
From your 3-year-old who just doesn’t want to wear shoes to a newborn who all of a sudden just can fall asleep, I handle it all.
My priority is to make the day as stress-free as possible.
Step 3: Session Day
All of your hard work on photo day paid off so grab a glass of sparkling wine and enjoy as we relive your memories. About one week after your session, we will meet via Zoom or in your home and show you all of your images.
I will guide you through the process of narrowing down your selections: choosing images for your collection or album, deciding on wall art, and any other custom pieces you want…I can even show you what certain image sizes will look like on your OWN walls.
Your reveal celebration is the time you set aside to finalize your portrait order, so be sure and schedule a time when all decision makers can be there. You will choose all of your items and place and pay for your order during this appointment.
Step 4: The Reveal Celebration
Once all of your art pieces have arrived and been quality checked, your items will be ready to pick up.
Many of our local clients choose to have me come to their home and install wall art pieces. This eliminates items getting lost on the “honey do” list and ensures that your artwork is perfectly displayed.
Step 5: Delivery (and installation)
I are thrilled that your portraits are hung on your walls with care, but I know that your family will keep growing and those kids keep changing, so what about next year, and the year after that?
Your wall art and collections are designed to look good now AND be able to move throughout your home as we add to your family art collection over time.

What happens at the pre-session consultation?
The in-person consultation is where we can sit down and really get to know you! We will look through products and get an idea of how you would like to display your images. We will go over clothing options and you can let us know what about our style drew you to us so that we can create timeless portraits that you will love. When your session day arrives, we’ll have a plan so everything goes smoothly–which means LESS stress for you.
When do I get to see the images?
You will get to see your images in a slideshow set to music during your Ordering Appointment 1-2 weeks after your session. We will help you with all of your final decisions on images and products that we have custom designed just for you. We can even show you what your images will look like right on your wall!
Can I bring my kids to the ordering appointment?
We prefer for just the adults to attend the ordering appointment because it is the time for us to review your portraits and choose and design all of your products and wall art. We suggest to arrange for childcare or we can schedule your ordering appointment while your kids are in school.
When do i get to bring everything home?
We carefully create and order your heirloom quality products, so please allow 6-8 weeks from your order date for completion of your order. Custom designed albums and orders with framing may take longer. But we promise it will be worth it!
